Miley Cyrus is a manifestation queen — and she might not even know it. Last night at the 2024 Grammys, Cyrus won her first two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for her hit single “Flowers.”
Alongside Coco Jones, who won the Grammy for Best R&B Performance this year, Miley Cyrus is one of the few former Disney Channel stars to win a Grammy Award. Shortly after Cyrus won Record of the Year, a clip from an old episode of Hannah Montana it was timely, and strangely so. “This Hannah Montana The music video finally became relevant,” one fan posted on X (formerly Twitter) with a crying emoji.
In the clip, which comes from Hannah Montana In episode 8 of season 4, Cyrus' character, Miley Stewart, goes through an intense period of writer's block as he meets the deadline for his album. When her best friend Lilly, played by Emily Osment, comes to check on her progress, she realizes that Miley has spent hours writing a hypothetical Grammy acceptance speech, not the bonus track her producer is expecting.
“Thank you Grammy voters. Record of the year, I can't believe it, I didn't have anything prepared,'” Lilly reads from the legal pad. “Oh yeah, and I can cry like that. Watch. “Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, I can't believe I'm in the same category as you,” Miley responds, dramatically pretending to cry.
The episode, titled “Hannah's Gonna Get This,” aired on October 3, 2010, almost 14 years ago during the show's final season. Fast forward to 2024, and Cyrus' real The acceptance speech for Record of the Year was a little more genuine, but still sweet.
“Thank you all so much. This award is incredible. But I really hope it doesn't change anything, because my life was beautiful yesterday. Not everyone will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular” , she said. “Thank you all so much. I don't think I forgot anyone… but I might have forgotten the underwear. Bye!”
