Since Jennie McCormick took over as Rag & Bone's merchandising and design director last year, she's been working to solidify the brand's foundation. This season, she introduced playful additions like sequins, hardware details, and mixed embellishments to her line of stunning must-have jeans and cardigans.
New York has always been the heart and soul of Rag & Bone, but this season, McCormick has decided to leave the city behind. “The collection represents the meeting of city and countryside,” said the designer. “It’s a real lifestyle expansion: we’re showing more outerwear as well as items that can be an alternative to traditional tailoring.”
Highlights of the collection included the brand's first real foray into eveningwear—a casual yet elegant slip dress in viscose and metallic thread—which McCormick and the team suggest wearing with one of the bold studded leather belts from R&B. The straight-leg jean received a real textural update thanks to a quilted diamond jacquard pattern that added an element of dimension to the classic style. The 100% cotton Miramar jean, which recently went viral on TikTok for its sweatpant look and feel, has inspired a whole new line; now there is a matching jacket and pants made from ultra-comfortable material.
