Officially, Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey aren't expected to perform at the Grammys on February 4, but we can't help but wonder if a surprise duet could still be on the horizon. There is compelling evidence: on the one hand, the two stars suspiciously arrived at the ceremony together (both fashionably late) in contrasting but coordinated colors; and second, they sit together.
A pre-ceremony photo circulating on the Internet shows that the two megastars will share one of the best tables in the house, that is to say the one that is close to the stage… for quick access in case of last minute “Snow On”. The Beach performance, perhaps?
Either way, it should be a night to remember for Swift and Del Rey. Swift is up for six awards, including the major categories Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. There's also a chance Swift could break the all-time record for most album of the year wins if she takes home the trophy this year; it would be the fourth time she won the title, breaking the tie she holds with Steve Wonder, Paul Simon and Frank Sinatra.
Del Rey, meanwhile, is up for song of the year and album of the year, which, if she wins, would make it her first-ever Grammy.
